"Feliz Dia de los Padres!" Happy Father's day!
God answers prayer. We know that, but sometimes we forget, and then He proves it again. Thank God for His infinite patience. We had been praying about Father’s Day at Huntington Ridge. Handing out roses was fine for Mother’s Day, but…
Then God gave us the idea. We went to Wal-Mart and loaded up in the shaving supplies and trial-size aisles. A package of ziplock bags completed our purchases. Back home, we assembled gift packs containing a razor and either shaving gel, body wash, deodorant or soap, along with the most important piece – a Spanish-language plan of salvation tract.
The men cheerfully and gratefully received the “regalitos” (little gifts). Some had their children with them, others were missing their hijos in
The father of a sweet little girl we know from our after-school program was grateful for the tract describing the plan of salvation.
Tessie is a magnet for the children of Huntington Ridge. Being mesmerized by the ball, which she thinks is a sheep, she is oblivious to the children’s petting and cooing. Today, she got more than her usual amount of hugs!

What a great idea for a Father's Day ministry! I am really enjoying your blog and will put you on my favorites and also on our prayer list. Thank you so much for your kindness to our team last week. We really enjoyed being with you and your family. If you would like to see some of our pictures from the trip, I'll be posting them on my blog throughout the week. www.muddlinthrumotherhood.blogspot.com
