Farewell kind friends

Today we said goodbye to our visiting teams from Bonifay, Florida, and Daphne, Alabama. This hardworking group spent the morning painting a church and visiting in the homes of refugees. Terry Earl and Cathy introduced some of the women to friends from Burundi. After lunch, the teams drove to Huntington Ridge for snocones, crafts, whiffleball and Bible stories.

Youngsters made bead bracelets. They could choose to spell out the words love, truth or hope.

The Alabama team took the idea of the folded-paper “fortune teller” and turned it into a prayer device. Several of the youngsters expressed an interest in knowing more about Jesus.
