Blue lips and Bible stories!
The Wednesday morning English class welcomed two new members. I was happy to have this young couple -- and their baby! -- join the group. A surprise visit from Pastor Carlos of Iglesia Bautista Belen really topped off a great morning.
Right after lunch, I joined the kids who were eagerly awaiting our partners from Bonifay, Florida and Daphne, Alabama. The boys climbed trees while the girls played hide-and-seek. And then the snow cone truck arrived. Whee!
The kids swarmed to choose their favorite flavors. Even our beautiful apartment manager ordered up a cone.
I'm lovin' those BLUE LIPS!
Next it was time to color pictures, play games, and hear a Bible story with our team leaders.

The day ended with a beautiful sunset over Huntington Ridge. Yeah, we had to start singing that old refrain: "The Georgia sun was blood red and going down . . ."
