All God's children . . .
This week at The Refugee Sewing Society, the floodgates opened and new students came pouring in! We spent the first part of the day registering all the women who came to Clarkston Community Center to sign up for classes. We were especially grateful for this lovely Bhutanese woman named Buddha! She knew enough English to help the other students fill out all the paperwork.I'm looking forward to getting to know her better. These are some of our new faces -- women who will be joining us in the weeks to come!Market Day this coming Saturday is fast approaching. After registration, Kelly and I set to work tagging and pricing all the beautiful items our students have made. This is only a small sampling of the many handmade things for sale at Market Day. Our cup runneth over! Please visit refugeesewing.blogspot.com to learn more about our women and our program.
