Brothers and sisters

Our church family was excited to welcome a young man (center) who had finally arrived from Africa to join his siblings. He had been living all alone in a refugee camp in Tanzania. On Sundays, brothers and sisters are everywhere. They stand in support of each other, like the happy family above. They cuddle up next to their mother.
They sort through toys and learn to share.
They cluster around their father. This dad from Sudan has nine children!
Does his family look anything like yours?
If you are a Christian, they are your brothers and sisters. We praise God that all these people from many nations and many tribes are one family in Jesus Christ.
We get to enjoy our friends now . . . and for all eternity. Bwana asifiwe! Praise the Lord!

How very rich we all are, to have this BIG and wonderful family. Thank you for helping our view of it...become much bigger. I fear that many of us lack in understanding the BIGGER picture of the family of God. I can see in your giving...you are gaining even more of a better view, and a richer grace. My prayers continue for you. Love, Dina

Hey, Tim and Cathy! Darlene from our church has been in contact with you about collecting some items for your ministry. She and another of the children's leaders were wondering if we could bring the supplies down and let the kids meet you sometime in late October or so. They think it's awesome to meet "real" missionaries!! :) I sent you an e-mail a few weeks ago; however, my e-mail account has been a little weird lately, so I am not sure if you received it or not. Whenever you get this message, just send me an e-mail and we'll go from there. My new address is julie.summey@mail.swu.edu.

I love keeping up with your blog to learn about all the creative way you're sharing Jesus with these needy families and individuals.

Oh, and by the way...It seems that I've seen Cathy's books everywhere lately - even an audio at Cracker Barrel this weekend! :)
